Geocache Description:

November 7, 2014 We snuck up to Western Exposure one last time before the snows came to tuck her away for winter. The coordinate I have posted in my log entry are the most accurate I have, but let me know if you have any trouble...Next year a Brand New Ammo Box for sure, so find her while she is orange and easy.

This cache is located on one of the prettiest, most diverse hiking trails in the Cascades. Awesome views of all our favorite mountains along with a great place to dunk your footsies when the hike is over. The cache is located about 300 feet off of a loop trail. You do not need to cross actual lava if you scout out the area. (Trust the trail to guide you past the rocks) duck under a little wooden rainbow on your left, hop over some small logs and stay alongside the lave flow on the easy ground. You will avoid any skinned knees and hurt feelings if you follow this path. If however, you get to the SHORTCUT sign on the main path you have gone too far. You do not need to move any kind of rock to get at or see this cache, but you do have to explore a bit. Make sure to finish the whole loop to enjoy every bit. I didn't see a Geocoin in here today. The cache is in a medium size ammo box in the very latest "Orange!" style. Well, it was the latest style 12 years ago! We hope you love it as much as we do!
