Office Hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

***THIS CACHE WAS PLACED BY PERMISSION OF THE PARK MANAGER. PLEASE OBEY ALL PARK RULES -- NO AFTER HOURS NIGHT CACHING -- NO BUSHWHACKING -- NO SHORTCUTS ON SERVICE ROADS OR POWER LINES -- STAY ON MARKED TRAILS UNTIL WITHIN 200' OF CACHE.***

Once you have paid your entrance fee, navigate your way to the trail head coordinates. There is parking at the visitor center and a couple of other places along the trail. There are restrooms and vending machines near the visitor center trailhead.

You can start your expedition at multiple places along the blue blaze trail that leads from the Visitor Center to the Observation Tower along the Chattahoochee River. The difficulty and terrain ratings are for this cache only and could be made higher based on where you are coming from, and how far you are hiking. The ratings assume that you are already near GZ somewhere along the trail.

You are looking for a 30 cal. ammo can that is painted and hidden within 100 feet of the trail. Please make sure the cache is well covered when you replace it so that it will be safe. Please practice TRADE UP OR TRADE EVEN so that there will be swag enough for the State Park visitors. Please take a moment to say hello to one of the rangers while you are in the park and let them know we appreciate being able to geocache in this great park!

This is a brand new state park, so the road to the park entrance may not be updated in your map set. You will find additional waypoints below to find the entrance to Chattahoochee Bend State Park and the trail head coordinates.

This trail was built by volunteers. Along with many other features to be completed in this new park trails are constantly being created and maintained. If you would like to help with the trails become Friends of Chattahoochee Bend State Park.

Your normal precautions for hiking in the woods apply. You'll need bug spray, boots, and water to drink along your journey. Please remember to practice "Leave no Trace."
