Cache nascosta in un paesino molto "pittoresco" del Bolognese, famoso per il vino e i Murales. Mi raccomando mettete tutto come l'avete trovato.
Ducia e Dutia i più antichi; Dozza l'attuale. Questa l'evoluzione del nome del Borgo, passato attraverso le forme di Duza e Doccia, prima dell'esito finale. Tanti suoni per legare questa località ad un solo elemento: l'acqua, la cui mancanza ne ha caratterizzato il nome, e quindi, la storia. Dallo stemma del Comune, con il grifo che si abbevera, ai ritrovamenti di un antico acquedotto proveniente da Monte del Re, fino a toponimi delle chiese, tutto collega il nome di Dozza alla "doccia", condotto in cui scorre l'acqua. Quasi un paradosso, per un borgo che da secoli ha fatto del vino di qualità una fonte di ricchezza ed una bandiera. Abitato fin dall'età del bronzo, il luogo fu prima assoggettato ai Galli, poi ai Romani. Ritornò a fiorire già prima del Mille. Furono i Bolognesi a cingerlo di mura, nel 1086 e circa due secoli dopo a costruire la rocchetta con il rivellino, a difesa dell'entrata del borgo. Il primo documento scritto che ci parla di un Castrum Ducie è del 1126. Per secoli fu oggetto di disputa, per la sua posizione strategica a dominio della Via Emilia. Riofirì e trovò una certa stabilità con Caterina Sforza, che ne riedificò la Rocca. Poi, alla fine di lunghe dispute, divenne feudo dei Malvezzi-Campeggi. La Rocca di Caterina Potente, massiccia, eppure al tempo stesso ben armonizzata con il resto del borgo. E' la Rocca Sforzesca. A volerla ricostruire sulle rovine di precedenti fortezze, continuamente soggette ad assalti e distruzioni, fu Caterina Sforza, Signora di Imola e di Dozza. i lavori furono affidati nel tardo Quattrocento all'architetto fiorentino Giorgio Marchesi. Furono alzate le spesse mura di cinta ed il torrione maggiore. Le alterne vicende politiche della regione si ripercossero anche sul dominio di Dozza e del castello, a lungo contesi dalle famiglie bolognesi Campeggi e Malvezzi. Alla fine, per via ereditaria, i Malvezzi ottennero il feudo e la rocca, col titolo di Marchesi Malvezzi-Campeggi. L'aspetto attuale della Rocca è il frutto delle trasformazioni in palazzo signorile, completata proprio dai Malvezzi nel 1594. I loro discendenti l'abitarono fino al 1960, anno in cui l'acquistò il Comune, all'estinzione dell'ultimo erede.
