Geocache Description:

This cache is somewhat behind the times. Walmart has discovered how underserved this area is and built near here. So disregard the store at 53rd & Meridian. I'lll keep the cache up if it average one find every three months. Tired of a materialistic, consumeristic, commercial society. This may be your solution.

Some people flock to crowds and caches in crowded areas. The Badd One avoids shopping and crowds, so this cache is right up his alley.

There have been several caches involving a certain retail giant in which it has been referred to as the Evil Empire. The Badd One will withhold judgment on that statement, but is doing his dead level best to avoid them. So, he goes hunting for a new home, specifically the house in Wichita that is farthest as the crow flies from Walmart. There are five stores to consider: one is at the above co-ordinates so you know the cache is far from there and its madding crowd. The others are at 29th & Rock, West Kellogg between Dugan and Ridge, Pawnee & Broadway, and Greenwich just south of Kellogg.

To solve this puzzle, you will need some reliable map of the city limits. If I come across one on line, I will provide the address for it. Early finders may also provide the internet address for such a map.

Once you have found the house the Badd One is looking for, you must find the cache. The house is not for sale and has no further involvement in this hunt. Go to the nearest corner. You will project from here at a 104 degree angle (to True North) a distance equal in feet to the average of the hundred blocks on the street where the Badd One wished he could live. It is over 7.7 miles from the nearest Walmart. Nirvanna, but it is out of his price range.

This is somewhat complicated by the fact that the block, although only 900 feet long has a range of 400, i.e. it runs from 100-499 or something like that. We are looking for the average. For example, if it was 100, 200, 300 400 you would average them together and get 250. 250 feet would be the distance from the nearest street "corner"

Cache is a roadside cache in a plastic "lock the lid" container with some black electrical tape to reduce its transparency. Virtually all the cache and contents were purchased from the Evil Empire.

Another way of looking at this cache: Since this area is underserved by major retailers, Walmart should move in immediately!
