Aluminum Boulevard: ARCONIC Traditional Geocache

DO NOT PARK IN THE FIRE DEPARTMENT LOT(S), or ON HIGHWAY 67. ONLY PARK IN DESIGNATED PARKING AREAS.

This cache is one in a series that we've placed along the Bettendorf/Riverdale Bike Path, and is designed to be accessed while out biking, roller blading/inline skating, running, or walking.

These caches are all:

- LOG ONLY ! (Please bring your own writing utensil.)

- camouflaged (some more than others)

- tethered/connected in some way to hopefully keep it in place

Arconic: In 2016, metals and manufacturing giant Alcoa, revealed the name, logo, and tagline of its soon-to-be spinoff company: Arconic. The new firm will focus on manufacturing multi-alloys for the aerospace and auto industries. The name 'ARCONIC' is maded up of: "A" (its progenitor, Alcoa), "Arc" (the "arc of progress"), and "conic" (the firm's "iconic" products). Arconic's logo looks like a distorted, teal Necker cube. It bears a slight resemblance to Alcoa's trademark A-like symbol. "The logo is a two-dimensional icon that the eye sees as a three-dimensional projection, symbolizing Arconic’s ambition and ability to make what is often deemed impossible real".
