CCCNP – The Nars’(Narrows)

THE CACHE IS AT THE COORDINATES LISTED UNDER ADDITIONAL WAYPOINTS. I am planning to archive this series and replace each cache. Until I do that this spring, the caches will remain as they are except that the actual coordinates for each cache will be posted as an additional waypoint.
The actual coordinates for this cache are also in the cache container for CCCNP - The Tree Fern Cave.
The CCCNP series contains 8 caches which must be found in order. The only one of the 8 that is at the posted coordinates is the first one, Cane Creek Canyon Nature Preserve.
The CCCNP Series:
1. Cane Creek Canyon Nature Preserve
2. CCCNP - The Waterfall
3. CCCNP - The Tree Fern Cave
4. CCCNP - The Nars' (Narrows)
5. CCCNP - The Bottleneck Cache
6. CCCNP - The Pancake Boulders
7. CCCNP - The Sedum Boulders
8. CCCNP - The Balancing Boulders
CCCNP – The Nars’ (Narrows)
Near the cache location, Cane Creek narrows and has a lot of large rocks and boulders and several small pools. During high water times, the creek at this location is like a miniature rapids and is quite spectacular. During heavy rains, the water can get quite high. Just upstream from the cache location is a large boulder in the middle of the creek. The water was so high when the remnants of hurricane Rita passed through the area in 2005 that a large log was deposited on the boulder. The log remained balanced on the boulder until it finally fell just a few months ago. The log can be seen in the photo above.
The cache is hidden less than 100 feet from the main trail. The cache container is a camouflaged large bison tube. Please put the cache back carefully and exactly as you found it. Note: . If you cross Cane Creek to find the Linden Meadows cache before heading for this cache, I recommend crossing back to the main trail before proceeding on to the 'Nars'. The cache contains a log sheet and the coordinates for CCCNP - The Bottleneck Cache.
