GeoTour Stop #9: Riverfront Parkway/Trail
The West Bend Milwaukee Riverfront Parkway currently runs 4 miles along the Milwaukee River, beginning at Roosevelt Drive to the north and extending to Quaas Creek Park to the south. The Riverwalk, a project of the City of West Bend Park, Recreation & Forestry Department reflects a commitment to protect land along the Milwaukee River Corridor. The Riverwalk offers environments for people to walk, jog, bike, and rollerblade. In winter, there is opportunity to snow-shoe and ski.
You can access the Riverfront Parkway Trail from parking areas on North Main Street, just north of Regner Park, or from Roosevelt Drive in Barton. For the most scenic walking route, use the parking coordinates provided on the cache page. For the shortest route, take Barton Avenue to Roosevelt Drive.
The Geocache: You are looking for a small lock-n-lock container. This cache is easily accessible from the lower level.
