This geocaching area has LOTS of brand new geocachers and they are especially invited to attend.
For those who have never attended an event...just pull up this description, log a visit saying "will attend", and then simply show up.
There will be a sign in sheet and name tags for attendees to help with knowing the people behind the various names we have all seen on many of the area geocache logs.
The sign-in sheet will also allow the event cache hosts to verify who actually made it to the event.
After attending, simply go back to this same page and leave a log that you attended....you will then have another geocache added to your total!
If you are new to geocaching, bring questions. You will find good, helpful answers among this always helpful group.
New Braunfels has lots of new geocachers, but very few new "hiders" of geocaches. The old hands should come prepared to explain and assist anyone who would like a little coaching on hiding geocaches....after all, without hiders, there would be no geocaches to find.
Park in the lot at the listed coordinates and find the group at the picnic tables with all the balloons, that's how you'll recognize the geocachers.
There is road construction going on near the meeting location...ignore the barricades and drive into the parking lot. That part of the road is actually still fully open for traffic.
If you don't want to eat there, that's OK...just show up and enjoy the company of geocaching people who have common interests and will also likely have all kinds of tales and experiences that are educational to everyone attending.
Before this event, consider also attending the CITO event GC5M6W1, 2015 Earth Day New Braunfels.
Drop by and have some fun !
