Dedicated to “Alexander Graham Bell”
This cache is dedicated to Alexander Graham Bell who invented the telephone.
He was born on March 3, 1847 in Edinburgh, Scotland and came to America in April 1871 and he begins teaching the deaf in Boston. In 1874 he meets Thomas Watson who is an electrician by trade and starts working with Bell on a regular basis. Alexander Graham Bell has been working on this idea for several years.
On March 10, 1876 Bell uttered the first famous words on his telephone to Thomas Watson who was in the next room.
“Mr. Watson, come here. I want to see you”
Wonder what he would think of our telephone technology of today? Amazing what has occurred since the beginning of this invention. There is a lot of information to be found on the Internet just by goggling their names

The walk to the cache should be enjoyed because of all the different kind of trees and especially the row of pine trees. This area is part of the Linn County Conservation Board “Agro forestry Demonstration” area.
