Don't let my total cache finds fool you. I have found many more caches than what is posted. I just think now is the time to give back to the geocaching community by placing some caches myself.
I have done a small study of caches around the Atlanta area. I have found a few places where many caches have been placed within a short period of time. The areas consist of Standard and Multi caches. I couldn't help but notice how many more times the Standard caches have been found compared to the Multi caches as of this writing. It turns out that multi and puzzle caches have been found on average 66% fewer times than the standard caches. I can only be lead to believe that a good number of cachers are not willing to put in a little bit more effort into finding caches.
Are you a Lazy Cacher?
If you are, then this cache hunt is for you!
If you are NOT, then don't bother hunting for this cache. This hunt so incredibly easy that it will get you an un-earned smiley and you should be embarrassed to even log this one.
If you want to find out if you are a Lazy Cacher, take the little quiz posted below.
This cache is so easy to find, but if you must decrypt the available hint/spoiler, you may as well just sell your GPS now and quit Geocaching all together.
The cache sub title E.N.D. stands for Elias Nour Dr. This is your hint. The cache is NOT located inside Stone Mountain Park. You are looking for a 35mm cannister. So bring your own pen to sign the log.
Let's find out if you qualify as being a LAZY CACHER.
I have come up with a few questions for you to answer. After answering all the questions, you will tally up your score and then find out how LAZY of a cacher you are. This quiz is all in good fun. Don't bother asking me what I scored on this one. I will not tell and you don't have to either.
NOTE: If you are physically unable to perform difficult cache hunts, you "DO NOT" qualify as a lazy cacher.
***THE LAZY CACHER QUIZ***
Question 1: Are you taking this little quiz?
Taken the quiz before = 0 points, skip to bottom of page.
Yes = 0 point
No = 20 points
Question 2: If available, do you decrypt and read the hints provided before going on the hunt?
Yes = 10 points
No = 0 points
Question 3: If the cache logs show that the cache is still hidden in place, do you base your decision to go on that cache hunt by reading how hard of a time other cachers have had finding the cache?
Yes = 4 points
No = 0 points
Question 4: If you attempt to hunt a Multi cache, at most, how many stages are you willing to hunt for to earn your smiley?
I don't hunt Multi caches = 10 points
2 stages = 3 points
3 stages = 1 point
4 or more stages = 0 points
Unknown posted stages = 0 points
Question 5: What is the hardest posted difficulty rating you are willing to hunt for?
1 star = 9 points
2 stars = 6 points
3 stars = 3 point
4 or 5 stars = 0 points
Don't care = 0 points
Question 6: What is the hardest posted terrain rating you are willing to hunt for?
1 star = 9 points
2 stars = 6 points
3 stars = 3 point
4 or 5 stars = 0 points
Don't care = 0 points
Question 7: How far are you willing to drive to a cache to earn your smiley?
Everyone gets 0 points. Gas prices are far to high to be asking this question.
Question 8: Do puzzle caches scare you away from a cache.
0 points to everyone. Not everybody has the patients to solve puzzles. Some people just don't have the time in their busy lives.
Now add up your points and see the chart below to see where you rank on the Lazy Cacher list.
If you are physically unable to perform hard cache hunts, you are NOT a Lazy Cacher.
20 or more points: A score this high is just too pathetic to even rate!
16 to 19 points: Why even bother Geocaching. With a score this high, how can Geocaching even be fun for you?
10 to 15 points: You are a very Lazy Cacher.
4 to 9 points: You are somewhat of a Lazy Cacher.
0 to 3 points: You are a Gung-Ho outdoor enthusiast that loves challenges!
