Including Newbies interested in learning the game, hobby, sport,
or obsession?
RAIN OR SHINE, as we have reserved the large Shelter, and fire
pits. There are also REST ROOMS in the park. There is plenty of
parking for all and a playground for the kids.
CLEAN UP at 10 AM,
Cache In Trash Out Day is an opportunity for geocachers to help
clean up the parks and other cache-friendly places throughout the
world. Through our volunteer efforts, we help preserve the natural
beauty of our outdoor resources. The park is pretty nice but the
wooded areas just south of the shelter needs some clean up.
We will provide trash bags.
Bring gloves and work clothes.
There are restrooms if you wish to change after the clean up. If
you are not able to come early enough to help with the clean up,
come anyway, have a bite to eat, enjoy the company and meet your
fellow cachers…
POTLUCK at Noon
We attended an event in March by Nancy (Czarniecki314) with a
potluck lunch… It went rather well, so I am hoping to copy her
plan. We will have a large BBQ pit going from 11 am on, for anyone
to use to cook hotdogs, burgers, steaks or whatever. I will try to
help with any taste testing.
Let me know what you can bring so we don’t end up with a bunch of
the same stuff. We will provide some hotdogs or you can bring your
own meats for the grill.

A fully stocked cache, a coin or two, T-shirt, patches, pins and
some trinkets will be given away. Anyone wishing to donate more is
welcome.
This event is also the kick off to the new VAGUE Geocoin.. (thanks
to Tharagleb, Okillezzze and several other contributors)
We will set an area for a TB swap, and print out some sheets for
the new caches.
There are currently 3 caches along the mile long bike path…. But
there are plans to place some new ones just before the event
