Geocache Description:

A good beach to go to with lifeguards present.   Parking available.  Follow the sidewalk to get closer to the cache.

A great view of this popular beach.  On the south end of this beach there is a large upright plaque commemorating the secret Navy UDT's or "frogmen" as they were first known. During  WW 2  the UDT's blew up and cleared all the submerged lava rock and coral reefs in this area to allow for beach landings.   These were the predecessors of modern day US Navy SEALS, and very few knew of their existence in their day.    You can now enjoy a swim there on flat, smooth sandy bottom without stubbing a toe thanks to these men.  Be very aware of muggles here and cover well when done.
