Up, Up, Then Away!

Mega Flash Mob Event

Thursday 6th August 2009 at 8pm prompt!

The event will take place between 8pm & 8.10pm on the grassy area immediately in front of Ashton Court.

You will need to bring an uninflated balloon with you to this event.

I will blow a whistle to mark the start of the event. At this point everybody should converge on the above coordinates, fill in one of the logging cards provided and place it in the bucket to log your attendance.

There should be just enough time for us to swap a few stories, exchange some travel bugs and then blow up as many balloons as we can. We will then assemble for a group photo waving our balloons in the air, before dispersing promptly at 8.10pm.

If you would like to stay on after the event, there will be plenty of us heading to the Balloon Festival main arena to watch the Night Glow later in the evening.

The idea behind a flash mob event is to assemble suddenly for a fixed period of time and then disperse as quickly afterward.
Before and after the event, everyone should try to blend in and look inconspicuous so as not to raise suspicion.

...don't forget to bring a balloon with you!!

Update!

For those who are interested, the Special Shapes lauch will be taking place at 6pm Thursday so you might like to get to Ashton Court early.

Parking on site can be very busy and pricey too, so you may well prefer to park further away and walk to the venue. Please remember that the Clifton Suspension bridge will be closed at 6pm to ALL traffic including pedestrians, so I recommend parking on the south side of the river or using public transport.
