It's a first Spring Valley night cache! Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Lassa12: Good news bad news. The city has done a lot of work on this park and it is much nicer now. Sadly, I lost a lot of markers and don't want to start over on this cache again. I will archive it and hopefully, will have an even better cache available in a nearby area.

Geocache Description:

THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE POSTED COORDINATES. This is a night geocache. Do yourself a favor and get a good flashlight for this one. Wimpy flashlights won't do. Begin at the posted coordinates and use your flashlight to follow the reflectors. They have been carefully laid out so you can follow them to the final cache which is a nano. BYOP. Depending on the time of year, some wading through weeds may be necessary, but no water or bushwhacking.

bfgwis kindly came to Spring Valley and created this cache with me. It is the first night cache in Spring Valley and we decided to put it in one of my favorite parks here. It was lots of fun to make and I hope you have fun finding it. Simply follow the reflective tacks and tape to the cache and enjoy the park! We tried to make this as unobtrusive as possible, but you will need some stealth near the end as it is near the highway and can have quite a bit of traffic.
11/11/12 Took kvjr on this one to see if he could follow reflectors. We didn't have a good flashlight so it was tougher than it should have been. I did do some tweaking of a couple of reflectors, so hopefully it will be easier to follow. Again, I can't tell you how important it is to have a good flashlight! Happy hunting!
10/20/12 Did a little beacon maintenance this weekend. Looked like some of the reflective tacks had been pulled out of some of the trees. I replaced them and put a few more up to make it a little easier. I noticed that near the beginning coordinates there seems to be some sort of construction going on. Once you get to the beginning coordinates, you should stand just south of the metal pillars (maybe the construction of a bridge?) and start there. It is as good as the starting coords. You can still see the first beacon from the first coords, but it might be a little tough for someone who is shorter. Good luck and have fun!
