Located in the heart of "Dairyland", this small country cemetery was known as West Alto Cemetery. It was deeded in 1856, the same year that John Clark Newell passed away and became the first person interred here.
An interesting object on these grounds is the copper latch knob on one of the old fence gates. It is quite ornate for a little old cemetery.
