The best place to park is at N 38° 16.164 W 122° 16.545, at the
Formal Gardens, before starting on the River to Ridge trail for the
first waypoint. You will be crossing the highway (there's a
crosswalk).
It's time Napa cachers were tested to see what they’re made of.
I have placed the toughest cache in the area. This is not a
numbers-padding, drive up micro-cache, this is a TOUGH, full-sized
cache that will make you stand apart from those who won’t rise to
the challenge.
There is a PDA for the FTF in the cache, along with other
valuable prizes. Trade up, trade even, or don’t trade at all. A
certificate of accomplishment will be emailed to everyone who finds
this cache.
Take precautions:
Let somebody know where you are going and when you are expected to
return.
Wear long pants and hiking boots.
Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and avoid heat
exhaustion.
Mark your waypoint when you leave the trail. Although this is still
in city limits, it is true wilderness and you could get lost.
Allow plenty of time to complete the cache- Skyline Park closes at
5 p.m.
There are mountain lions in the area, I did see tracks while
placing the cache. Be aware of your surroundings at all times.
Travel in groups or take adequate protection when travelling
alone.
