Crack!!! Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Deceangi: As the owner has ignored a Needs Archiving Log posted on the 10-5-08, despite logging into GC since then. I can only presume the owner has abandoned this cache, as such I'm Archiving it.

Geocache Description:

Very easy terrain, very pushchair friendly.

This one is a short walk around a Park in Gosport and should take no more than about ten minutes. The cache is not too difficult to find once you have the final coordinates and I am fairly confident that these are correct as There are no trees about and I used a WAAS enabled GPS.Go to the location above ( N50 48.268, W 001 08.173) and you will find a red object probably not used as much as it should be. On this object you will find a telephone number in the format: ABCD EFGHIJWith a little maths and some substitution you will now be able to gain the coordinates of location 2 by replacing the above numbers into the co-ordinates as belowN 50 GH. BEFW 001 AH.BE(C+G)This will take you to another location a short walk away where you will find a sign with one letter and five numbers on it. These are in the format:ABC DEAnd again with some more maths and substitution you can now gain the final co-ordinates of the cache itself. This is a micro ( small plastic specimen jar) containing a log book and a pencil.I have moved the cache about 50 feet South west from these co-ordinates to prevent it being removed, so upon reaching the co-ordinates, walk to the end of the object. N 50 E(DxE).D(AxD)(D+E)W 001 B(E+E).C(DxE)(A+E)The area where the cache is placed used to be an old swimming pool by the side of an assault course used by the military I believe. The little pier in the corner was the valve to allow the water to be let in and out of the swimming pool but has long since been filled in and grassed over. This pool was used as a dump for the contents of Gosport’s Pickford’s warehouse after a fire sometime around 1980, and was then filled in with earth when the area was levelled to become a playing field. The warehouse if anyone is interested is near a pub called the Railway on the corner of spring Garden Lane, about half a mile from here.
