Warning

Please note: To use the services of geocaching.com, you must agree to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

The two locations you need to visit will guide you to something both quite amazing and puzzling as well. I hope you enjoy the experience. The cache itself is small and contains the usual goodies.
To find “Apollo 11” proceed to the listed co-ordinates and carry out the following.

1. Count the number of small diameter vertical bars, this is A.

2. Multiply A by 2. Look in this direction in degrees magnetic and record what animal you see.

If the animal is a horse then B=1
If the animal is a Eagle then B=2
If the animal is a Dog then B=3

3. What material is the animal made from?

If the material is Wood then C=1
If the material is Brick then C=2
If the material is Stone then C=3

4. Again using the number of vertical bars, find the following answers.

Multiply (A by B), then add (3 x C) = aaa
Take A and subtract (5 times B) = bbb

Cache location is S 37.57. aaa E 144.26. bbb

There is a fair bit of walking and a fair amount of driving required to complete this cache.
Note also, the route to the final waypoint is one way.
If you arrive outside the hours the gates are open then your walking distance increases dramatically, so as I was instructed in a recent Derringer cache "time your approach well" and I hope you enjoy the object to which I am guiding you.

As 3up and I was getting out of the car watching the perfect storm roll in ( mmm maybe too much exaggeration ) it looked like we were gonna get wet bums as we made our way up the hill . at wpt 1 we answered the math but it wasn't all the numbers as 1 number was missing as others have said in their logs , but came up with 2 possibles and put them into GPS but was telling us " Go West Young Men " knowing this was incorrect , we went to the peak to check out the views and have a scratch around as I have never been here before and weigh things up . we went back to wpt 1 to confirm the numbers and headed off blindly to a stab in the dark . once at the stab in the dark previous logs were adding up and making sense so we were not going to leave until found . now the gates had closed and darkness was upon us and we thought the SES was about to start searching for us and we had to make the kill . 3up was arm deep in the throat , ripped it out and claimed the prize ( he looked like he won tatts ) .we checked the coords and we had them correct at GZ . a great adventure and recommended - thanks chewinprickles

Find # 728 @ 19:30 and 5th for the You Yangs cache run with tackle_head.
Just as we arrived at the car park, big black clouds were rolling over with a few sprinkles of rain falling on the windscreen. Like a cat on a hot tin roof, tackle_head was out of the car saying lets do it, so we did. We weren't going to let gale force winds and rain deter us. So off we trotted, and trotted and trotted and finaly arrived at our first WP. We did the calcs but like others before us, couldn't get "bbb" to equal a three digit number which made us feel we had the wrong calculations. We checked, double checked and checked again but still came up with the same answer. After reading a couple of logs, we decided we had a couple of possibilities and one pointed to a locale only 100 metres away so off we trotted again. We searched to no avail and after putting some more thought into it and using brain power as opposed to mathematics, we both came up with the same conclusion. It has to be there. By this time the big dark clouds were heading out over the Dandenongs and we again saw sunshine. We headed over to "there" and after about 15 - 20 minutes of searching we finally found the clever hide and boy, were we happy to tick this one off. This has been one hell of a walk, enjoyable I must add and one I'll not forget in a hurry.
