Far Out!
Here's a fun cache idea for you all.
A short walk through the famous "Magic Meadow" near Woodstock,
NY will bring you to the cache location.
The coordinates are choppy under the tree cover, so I took a few
waypoints and used the best one.
Park at the coordinates below. Don't be confused, the signs say
no parking, but that's up the hill. It's ok to park here.
The cache itself is easy to find, but getting the container to
sign the log and trade goodies will be a little different. The
cache container is a small home made PVC screw top container,
almost small enough to be called a micro, but can still fit very
small trade items (largest would be a diabetes TB).
There is no writing utensil inside the cache.
Although camping is prohibited here, you will most likely find
tents, shantys, lean-to's and other temporary residences in the
meadow, and also in the forest. I have seen folks wandering around
talking to the sky, so they shouldn't bother you too much on your
adventure.
