This cache was originally placed for the 2012 WGA Picnic. Pike Lake was the site of GC1323 the first WGA Picnic in August of 2001.
As you walk along this 0.8 mile long nature trail, make sure to read the interpretive signs. They give you a lot of information about the area and the wildlife that you might see. My dog always enjoys this area the most. The animal scents here drive him a little nuts!
The Geocache Notification Form has been submitted to Rob Wessberg of the Wisconsin DNR. Geocaches placed on Wisconsin Department of Natural Resource managed lands require permission by means of a notification form. Please print out a paper copy of the notification form, fill in all required information, then submit it to the land manager. The DNR Notification form and land manager information can be obtained at http://dnr.wi.gov/files/pdf/forms/2500/2500-118.pdf
You are looking for a large plastic container. If your geosenses are working, you shouldn't have any problems with this one. Just stand by the spring and look around!
The "related web page" link at the top of this listing will provide you with a printable map of the trails at Pike Lake.
Enjoy the walk!
