How Geocaching Works
Very small micro well hidden near a good fishing hole
This is a small micro located in the Wakpicada Park in north Linn County. This cache is well concealed in an area with lots of hiding places to choose from. I have not seen one quite like this before so I found a good location that fit the cache well. Wakpicada Natural Area is a 340-acre area adjacent to the Wapsipinicon River near Central City, Iowa. This area provides excellent habitat for a variety of wildlife found in bottomland forests and wetlands. The area features primitive camping sites, a trail and access to the river for fishing. This cache is a drive to for most of the year. If gates are closed, about 0.2 miles of walking are required. (usually during thaw in the spring) Bring a writing instrument as this cache is too small to contain one. Also, bring something small like a small key or pen to remove log. Only sign your initials and date since the log does not have a lot of room.
