Aizpute ir sena pilseta Latvija, Aizputes novada administrativais centrs. Atrodas paugurainas Rietumkurzemes augstienes rietumu mala, Tebras krastos, 50 km uz ziemelaustrumiem no Liepajas. Senakas kuršu vietvarda formas bija Asimputte, Acciputten, Asenputt (kuršu valoda Aspute - "vieta aiz kapas"), kas vaciskotajavarianta kluvis par Hasenpoth.Aizpute ir loti daudz apskates objektu. Baznica celta vieta, kur vacu krustneši izlaupija un nopostija seno kuršu pili. Baznica vairakkart parbuveta un pašreizejo izskatu ieguvusi 1860. gada. Aizputes baznica ir viena senakajam baznicam Kurzeme. Kopš 1998. gada baznica ir valsts nozimes arhitekturas piemineklis. Lidz 16.gs. taja sludinaja katolticibu. Velak eka pargaja evangeliski luteriskas draudzes valdijuma. Šodien ta ir Aizputes Sv. Jana luteranu baznica. B= trepju gala ir baznicas durvis. Saskaitiet, cik kniedes ir tajas. [ENG]Aizpute is an old town in Latvia and also an administrative center for Aizpute region. It’s situated at monticule part of west Kurzeme near banks of Tebra River, around 50km to northeast from Liepaja. The most ancient Couronian toponym forms were Asimputte, Accinputten, Asenputt (Aspute in Couronians language, which means – “place behind sand hill”). In German version it became as Hasenpoth.
There are many places to visit in Aizpute. We offer you to have a look on some considerable places at Atmodas street. Some of them will give clues on how to find a cache. Starting point is at the coordinates

There begins the stairs which will lead you to church. Count how many steps the stairs have. This number = A.
Church is built in a place where German crusaders looted and destroyed the ancient Couronians castle. Church was rebuilt many times and got the current look at year 1860. The church of Aizpute is one of the oldest in Kurzeme. Starting from year 1998 it is an architectural monument. Till 16th century there preached Catholicism. Later the building went to the governance of Evangelic Lutheran Church. In nowadays it is an Aizputes St. John’s Lutheran Church. At the end of stairs you should find a door of the Church. Number of rivets in the door = B. The year above the door = C. Next continue your trip to Atmodas street 7. There you will find a first two-storey building in Aizpute – Dome Tavern, popularly know as Dark Tavern. In the building of Atmodas street 16 you will find a puppet collection of V. Jerina. Unfortunately it cannot be visited anytime, but you can previously arrange your visit by calling 29761928. Count of digits in phone number (excluding country code) = F.
Continue your walk till Atmodas street 22. There you will find the oldest school building. It will give the missing numbers for your coordinates. D = how many years the building was used as school and E = the renewal date of this building. Now you can calculate the final coordinates and go to place which historical name is Ordens Hasenpoth.
