Caché que por su naturaleza es totalmente nocturno, el terreno es
un lapiaz y caminos ... caminante no hay camino, se hace camino al

Gambusinus Kantabrikus
Punto de partida: En el Alto de la Granja, en el punto más
alto de la carretera entre Sámano y Guriezo hay una pista o
carretera mal asfaltada en dirección contraria al mar que va a
parar al repetidor, desde allí seguirla unos 50 metros más hasta la
zona recreativa (apta para barbacoas y similares).

Breve historia del Gambusino
El Gambusinus Kantabrikus, alias Gambusino, es un animal que habita
en los bosques de Europa, existen diferentes variedades y la que
habita en el norte de la península tiene ciertas
particularidades:
-Tiene la manía de coger todo lo que encuentra y almacenarlo en
agujeros.
-A diferencia de los gambusinos de otros lugares, éste parece no
ser muy amigo del agua, por lo que su habitat está en lugares lejos
de arroyos, ríos y lagos.
-Una vez al año el gambusino muda, y aunque es peludo, el gambusino
del norte en concreto tiene una cola larga y ancha sin pelo, con
una piel rugosa que curiosamente es reflectante (un fenómeno único
en la naturaleza animal) del color de las rocas que le rodean, esto
ha propiciado que el animal utilice esta piel para marcar el camino
hacía sus escondrijos en un terreno donde los caminos no abundan y
donde a veces es difícil encontrar sitios por donde pasar.
-Su particularidad mas especial y por lo que es más buscado es
porque el gambusino sabe quien es tu peor enemigo, has oído bien!!!
el gambusino en su escondrijo te mostrará una imagen de tu peor
enemigo (mira debajo de la tapa, como los yogures).
El caso es que en una de mis largas salidas paseando el perro por
la zona de Guriezo, se me hizo de noche, por suerte llevaba un
frontal, y como andaba un poco "perdido" y estaba lejos de caminos
y la civilización, tuve la suerte de ver algo reflectante en las
rocas, me acerqué y ... cuál fue mi sorpresa al ver que se trataba
de un tejido como reflectante, paré para observarlo y vi que a lo
lejos se veía otro, al acercarme a él ... se veía otro, y luego
otro, y otro ... así que los seguí y después de andar por sitios
que desconocía, sin saber hacía donde me dirigía, encontré el
escondrijo del gambusino! Bueno, realmente lo encontró mi perrita,
cuando estábamos cerca olió algo que desconocía y me condujo hasta
el mismo. Tal como cuenta la leyenda, allí pude ver la cara de mi
peor enemigo ...
Quisiera compartir el escondrijo pero no recuerdo donde está ya que
era un sitio un tanto rebuscado, lo único que tengo son las
coordenadas del GPS antes de que me quedara sin pilas, son las
coordenadas desde donde divisé la primera de las marcas del
Gambusino. Las coordenadas son:

Recuerdo también que el escondrijo estaba en un hoyo, una dolina y
que la entrada al hoyo estaba marcado con una especie de dos "X" (a
la vuelta apunté las coordenadas del escondrijo en las "X" y por si
acaso, debajo de una de ellas, tapado con ramas, puse las
coordenadas en una pequeña botellita de plástico), al partir de
allí me las ingenié para bajar hacía el fondo del hoyo siguiendo a
la perrita y Voilá! en una pared de roca a mano derecha, bastante
cerca del suelo, un agujero y dentro cantidad de cosas escondidas
en él, entre ellas como dice el mito la imagen de mi peor enemigo.
Como podéis imaginar tendréis que ir de noche para poder seguir las
marcas del Gambusino, ya que de día son invisibles.
