the edgar m tennis preserve was established in 1972 when dr
tennis gave approximately 100 acres to the state of maine to be
used for walking trails, education and research. his daughter gave
the state an additional 45 acres. the deer isle walking trails
group, in conjunction with the maine department of conservation
(bureau of parks and lands) maintain the trails, which are open
year round.
this is a favorite picnic spot of my granddaughters, the
twinkies, who just love this trail.
the cache is a lock n lock container. please replace as
found.
