Geocache Description:

Sunday September 11th, 2011 Lorne C. Henderson Conservation Area. Meet at the Nature Centre 9:00 a.m. -3:00 p.m. Pot Luck: 12:30. Bring your GPS cord for downloading co-ords.

Spend some time with fellow geocachers at the third annual Open Trails Event. Geocachers are invited to bring muggle friends as GPS units will be available to borrow. There will be a pot luck lunch this year so please log the food you will be bringing. The Pop/juice machine has been removed from the site. There is no food available to purchase. Fifteen current caches will be archived and replaced with 17 (seventeen) new ones for this event. Some Garmin e-trex Legends (GPS's) will be available to borrow (with proper identification) for new geocachers to try the excitement of searching for hidden caches. Facilities include a campground, picnic pavilion, playground equipment, nature trails, viewing tower, indoor washrooms and Interpretive Centre. Caches are located near the trails of the 115 hectare wetlands/forested habitat. There will be free admission to the L.C.Henderson Conservation Area on Sunday September 11, 2011. L.C. Henderson C.A. is located 4 k.m. west of Petrolia at 3653 Petrolia Line
