HG does this thing as he gets nearer to a cache site where he starts to hastily gambol his way towards the location so that he'll get there before you. In the rare cases where you might be ahead of him and it looks like you are closing in on a cache he will do another HG movement - Hurriedly Glide around you and in front of you so that he can arrive first.
However, when he is anywhere near an edge, or somewhere where he might plummet, he demonstrates a completely different HG movement - Hesitant Gait. And then he'll stop short and happily wave you on to do the cache instead of him.
Wonder what sort of gait he will choose for this cache?
