Geocache Description:

Cache is located along the Dunkerton Nature Trail, across the road from Charma Park. Cross the highway with care. The cache is a camoflaged peanut butter jar. Original contents include an FTF pin for the First To Find, carabiner key chain, and some other small trinkets for trading.

The Dunkerton Nature Trail has had a hard summer of 2008 with recent flooding, but it's coming back. Expect some mud if there's been some rain as the cedar bark trail is mostly washed away. It would be great if you would practice cache in-trash out along the trail. The nature trail makes a large loop through a lowland forest along Crane Creek. You'll find a map of the nature trail on the south side of the large Charma Park sign near the parking area.

The area is prone to flooding in the spring, so check the water level of Crane Creek at the bridge before venturing in.

This cache is located 5 or 6 feet off the trail. Not much bushwhacking, although the trail itself is slightly overgrown in places. There is an old, downed wire fence you'll have to step over, so be aware and step carefully. There is quite heavy tree cover, so please check the coordinates and let me know if they need adjusting. We took several readings and settled on the one that seemed the best!
