You can acces the river with your PWC (Personal Water Craft)from
the Palatlakaha River Park located near the end of hull road. Park
is open from dawn to dusk. There is a ramp for boats and parking
for your trailers up to 15 feet.
I placed three caches on the river and lake from my canoe. It
took me just over an hour. Distance round trip: From the boat ramp
to the last one on Lake Susan, I would guess (because I didn't have
my track log on) about, just over two miles. Please be aware of
natural Florida wildlife such as snakes and alligators.
The river runs toward Lake Susan, so coming back will be up
stream, But I didn't notice much of a difference. Bring some water
in hot months.
Attention local cachers that I know: If you want to borrow my
canoe, email me and I'll lend it you, but YOU have to get it
there.
