At the published coordinates you will be walking on a pedestrian bridge over the infamous Tijuana River. From this bridge you can continue south to the Reloj Monumental cache . Take a look at that cache's website for the best approach into Mexico and other useful tips. The water you see below the bridge is sewage heading to the Pacific Ocean via the U.S. However, most of the sewage is now intercepted by the new (2002) South Bay International Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Look at a given section of the fence and count the number of round horizontal support bars. Use the following forumula to calculate the final location: N32 33 (X*.085) W117 04 (X*.001 + .005).
The container is north of the Border. It is a M&M container a short way off the trail, and about .25 miles from the parking coords. It is on a dry portion of the Tijuana River, but the area is susceptible to flooding during heavy rains. I do not recommend visiting the final after dark due to stepped-up immigration enforcement in the area.
