Geocache Description:

WWFM-V Heckscher Park, Huntington

This event will be one small part of the WWFM-V (World-Wide Flash Mob event – see below). This event and all others around the globe in their respective time zone will begin precisely at 1 pm EST on Saturday, May 2nd, 2009.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
1) The Posted Coordinates have been updated and are final.

2) Bring a fun, crazy hat with you, in a bag or whatever, and put it on at the start of the event – take it off at the end. One suggestion would be to match the hat to your GeoCaching name.

3) To keep up with any news or changes – make sure to set the page for "notifications" so you’ll be notified via email. Check this cache page the morning of May 2nd to confirm all information.

4) Note from Dog and Bear:
"Admin they said I could not stack events, so a bunch of us were talking about going to the Paneria bread at the Walt Whitman Mall after the event they're calling for rain so it would be a nice meet and share without a smiley."
Address: 160 Walt Whitman Road, Huntington Station, 11746

This Flash Mob Geocache event will last exactly 15 minutes – not a second longer. You MUST be present and sign a log sheet DURING this time to claim this event.

For those that don’t know - A Flash Mob is a large group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place, do something unusual for a brief period of time, and then quickly disperse.

ITINERARY:
12:45 PM - 12:59 PM - Participants wait patiently and/or stroll around the area. STAY AWAY from ground zero until the signal is given. Best as you can, act like a muggle, pretend not to know each other or give any indication that something is about to happen. At 12:59 PM slowly begin to move towards ground zero.

1:00 PM – Music will play – everyone will converge right at ground zero. Log slips will be handed out - Bring your own pen or pencil. Sign individual log slip and drop it in the collection box. Next - turn to someone close by and “swag swap” or trade “trackables” if you so chose.

1:08 PM – Group picture takes place. Listen carefully and follow all directions given by photographer quickly as to where to line up.

1:12 PM - The event meal will be held (Hershey’s Kisses), and mingling can take place. The FTF name drawing will be held.

1:14 PM - One minute warning is called "It is now 1:14!" Prepare to leave. Organizers seal up log container for transport.

1:15 PM EXACTLY – Everyone leave immediately! Meet elsewhere if desired.

This event will be held rain or shine – please come prepared for the elements.

We would love to have a general idea of how many to expect – so please write a note here and let us know if you and others will be attending the event.
