Geocache Description:


This little micropark is just sleeping for now. In the Summer of 2009, a bridge and trail extension will connect it to the Stevens Creek Trail, making it possible to ride from Mountain View High School all the way to Shoreline Park without having to cross major streets!

Rosie is pretty excited about the bike trail. She's also pretty excited about Princesses! A sleeping park like this, on a street like this, about to wake up -- it's a perfect combination. Please try to leave something princess related!

I just checked with the City of Mountain View today (5/5/08). Construction on the this section of trail will probably start sometime around September, so hopefully the cache will be safe until then.

UPDATE
I couldn't wait until they opened the bridge. I put a new cache out there as a temporary replacement. It's not as cool as the original, but maybe I can upgrade it when the trail work is done. It's about 150 feet south of the original location; I'll update the coordinates. It should be REALLY easy now, so if you aren't getting a good fix, use your geo-sense!

If your personal scoring system allows re-finding, then by all means, log it again. If it doesn't, feel free to leave a note! I think the point is to have fun, so do what's fun for you.
