How Geocaching Works
Dogs love trees, and geocachers love trees too. The planners of the Stevens Point Dog Park had the foresight to include a few nice trees within the fenced area.
The Point Dog Park is on 30 acres of former landfill that currently has 25 fenced acres, with an additional fenced area for smaller dogs being planned.
Dog lovers teamed up with community leaders to raise the funds to fence the park and install benches, waste receptacles, signs and other improvements. Though the park has no user fee, it depends on donations and volunteers to keep it going.
