AndersEn with an E Traditional Geocache

wwbd: I think I'm going to let this spot go. I've had to replace it too many times which means it's not a good place for a cache.

Geocache Description:

Very high muggle area. BYOP.

AndersEn is a Danish-Norwegian patronymic surname meaning "son of Anders". It is the 5th most common surname in Denmark and 1023rd in the US.

My Great Grandfather AndersEn was from Vissenbjerg, Denmark so “AndersEn with an E” is something you will hear my family and I say often when spelling our last name, especially here in AndersOn Township.

AndersOn Township was organized in 1793 and named after Richard Clough AndersOn, who was the principal surveyor of lands appropriated by Virginia as compensation to Virginia's Revolutionary War soldiers in lieu of money in the new cash strapped nation. AndersOn was married to Elizabeth Clark, sister of William Clark of Lewis and Clark Expedition fame.

It’s possible that Richard Clough AndersOn may have been of Swedish descent, although AndersEn was often rendered as AndersOn by immigrants to English-speaking countries. In case you were wondering, AndersOn is the #11th most common last name in the US.
Whichever the case is with Richard, I’ve wanted to call a geocache “AndersEn with an E” for quite a while and here it is.
