Geocache Description:

Easy parking, but park to the right side of the area. Trucks from the nearby propane facility will be turning close by. Short easy walk to the cache

This is a nano cache so bring your pen or pencil. The Greenhorn Cutoff of the California Trail was a route used by the settlers moving from the east to the gold fields of California. The Greenhorn Cutoff was used by the pioneers who traveled in the spring time and others who were concerned about the river crossings on the Humboldt River. This point is close to the first real water the pioneers found after they started along the cutoff. The only other water was north of this location at Hot Sulfur Springs
