Bucerias is a small fishing village located about 20 km north of the Puerto Vallarta airport. There's only a few small hotels and guest houses here and the tourist feeling is quite different than Puerto Vallarta. The beaches are quite empty and you can escape from it all while enjoying the surf and your favourite drink on the beach.
To get to Bucerias, catch a bus from Puerto Vallarta (look for buses labelled with 'Punta de Mita' or 'Bucerias'). The bus costs about US$1 per person and the ride from Puerto Vallarta is about half an hour. This virtual cache is located in the absolute centre of town. Find the coordinates listed above and locate the plaque. To score a find for this cache you must take a picture of yourself and your GPS infront of the plaque with the month and year answer visable.
When you have found this cache, walk due north from the cache location to the ice cream store and treat yourself to a homemade frozen juice bar for 5 pesos (my favourite is the coconut). Then walk southeast and enjoy all the little shops that Bucerias has to offer.
