WELCOME TRAVEL BUGS!

We are looking forward to seeing new travel bugs this year! PLEASE make sure the
cacher bringing you to the event has "placed" you in the event, AND that he/she
knows your specific goal(s) and destinations. If you have your TB sheet please bring
it with you as it will assist us in helping you in your journey to specific destinations.
(The cacher bringing you could print your sheet if you don't have one already in your bag).
We will have specific departure areas for you depending on your goal(s)
and/or destinations-Eastern US, Western US, Canada, and Other.
**As soon as you arrive at the event, please proceed to the TRAVEL BUG
reception area for further instructions. Happy traveling until we see you in May!!!

How to Pick-UP A Travel Bug!

A fun aspect of geocaching is moving trackable items such as Travel Bugs and geocoins. As these items travel from geocache to geocache, they collect exciting stories and inspiring pictures.

Steps for logging a trackable item:
1. Click on Trackable Items on the left hand side of the Geocaching.Com Page
2. Enter the travel bug or geocoin tracking number
3. Click on 'Found It? Log it!' in the top right hand corner of the page
4. Select the type of log from the dropdown menu and enter the tracking number in the field below
5. Enter any comments about the trackable item and click 'submit log entry'

Please remember, Travel Bugs and geocoins are made to move from cache to cache so only take a trackable item from a cache if you are able to move it to another cache soon!

Drop it in the event VIA A LOG ENTRY so it shows up in the
inventory on the Travel Bug section to the right of the
event page.  Please also be sure to print out your travel
bug sheet so it can travel with your TB indicating that it
is in the ASP GeoBash TB Race.

100 Cache Loop

*Group camp cabins will be open for rental on Thursday evening
(no meals provided till Friday evening) for those hard core, smiley happy cachers
interested in participating in “ THE 100 CACHE LOOP”.
A few of our local experienced cachers are putting together a cache run map and
information of 100 permanent caches in a driving loop beginning and ending at group camp.
This loop will not be big mileage (this is a cache dense area) but plan to hustle.
Morning coffee will be available in the mess hall for those venturing out;
somehow we think you might need the caffeine. Smaller loops are also being planned.

2008-2009 ASP GeoBash TB Race.

Coordinators: Kickin' and KacheKat

All cachers are welcome to start any type of Travel Bug or Trackable Coin.
The top 3 travel bugs with the most miles at the end of the race are the winners!!

The 2008 event must be the TB’s starting point, so your bug MUST be dropped in the event.

You MUST BE PRESENT at the 2009 ASP GeoBash TO WIN!

All mileage will be calculated as of May 1st, 2009
