Cache is located on the banks of the beautiful Tennessee River at
Perryville. This was an easy stroll down by the riverside, but a
new fence has made that a little difficult. Coordinates for the
road to the parking area: 35 37.713 088 02.203 Please remember to
spray before you enter the woods as the ticks are pretty bad!
Access is now best by boat, but possible by land for the
creative!!!
Although Perryville is basically a quiet community today, it was
once a bustling river town and an important focal point of commerce
in the state of Tennessee. Perryville actually lost the bid for
state capital of Tennessee by only a very slim margin. Being a
river town, Perryville was visited often by showboats and had it's
own dance hall. The Floating Queen, as it was called, offered good
bands, good food, and good drink and took permanent berth here at
Perryville. When the railroad left in the 1930's, Perryville slowly
settled down to the quiet little town you see today and is now most
famous for its fine Tennessee River Catfish Restaurants.
Cache is an ammo box with quality contents. Please note, this
area really needs your CITO help. I have included several CITO
containers in the cache for your use. Thanks and happy hunting!
