The Texas Vikings

Present
"Oldies but Goodies !"

The Texas Vikings like to listen to Oldies but
Goodies on the radio (at least some of us do).

So, in that light, we figured it was time for an Oldies Puzzle.

The Cache is not at the above Coordinates !

All you have to do, is read the lyrics and then
determine the song title, using the lyrics provided.

To get the proper coordinates, you must solve the Puzzle.
The Formula is simple.
If song A is "Yellow Submarine"
And song R is "Good Vibrations"
And the formula is:
A + R-10 = X
Then take the number of letters in each title:
"Yellow Submarine" = 15
So:A = 15
"Good Vibrations" = 14
So:R = 14
Then : 15 + 14 = 29 -10 =19
So: X = 19
If the Coordinates were
N ?? ??.??X
Then replace the symbol with the number
N ?? ?? .??19

The Proper Coordinates are:

Use the actual title, not including punctuation.
For example: count the letters in " Groovin'" as 7.
And the actual name of the song is " Groovin'",
not " Grooving", therefore 7 letters, not 8.

I'll be there to love and comfort you...(tell me baby). I'll be there with the love I'll see you through. Now when you're lost and about to give up'cause your best just ain't good enough and you feel the world has grown cold and you're driftin' on your own when you need a hand to hold darling, reach out reach out, for me

B

Hold me close never let me go hold me close melt my heart like April snow I'll love you till the bluebells forget to bloom I'll love you till the clover has lost its perfume I'll love you till the poets run out of rhymes

C

Stopped into a church. I passed along the way Well, I got down on my knees. Got down on my knees. And I pretend to pray. I pretend to pray. You know the preacher likes the cold. Preacher likes the cold. He knows I’m gonna stay Knows I’m gonna stay

D

Now for ten years we've been on our own and moss grows fat on a rollin stone but that's not how it used to be, when the jester sang for the king and queen in a coat he borrowed from James Dean and a voice that came from you and me, oh and while the king was looking down, the jester stole his thorny crown the courtroom was adjourned, no verdict was returned, and while Lenin read a book on Marx, the quartet practiced in the park and we sang dirges in the dark, the day, the music, died. We were singin...

E

She's got a competition clutch with the four on the floor. And she purrs like a kitten till the lake pipes roar. And if that aint enough to make you flip your lid. There's one more thing, I got the pink slip, Daddy. And comin' off the line when the light turns green. Well she blows 'em outta the water like you never seen. I get pushed out of shape and it's hard to steer. When I get rubber in all four gears

F

Now if I appear to be carefree. It's only to camouflage my sadness. And honey to shield my pride I try. To cover this hurt with a show of gladness. But don't let my show convince you That I've been happy since you. Decided to go, oh I need you so. I'm hurt and I want you to know. But for others I put on a show, ooh yeah

G

But when I get home to you I'll find the things that you do Will make me feel alright. You know I work all day to get you money to buy you things And it's worth it just to hear you say you're going to give me everything. So why on earth should I moan,'cause when I get you alone You know I feel ok

H

It’s hard to understand but the touch of your hand Can start me crying.I thought that I was over you but it’s true, so true.I love you even more than I did before but darling what can I do-o-o-o For you don’t love me and I’ll always be

I

Don't throw our love away . Please don't do me this way Not happy like I used to be Loneliness has got the best of me

J

What do you think you'll do then. I bet that'll shoot down your plane. It'll take you a couple of vodka and tonics. To set you on your feet again Maybe you'll get a replacement. There's plenty like me to be found. Mongrels who ain't got a penny. Sniffing for tidbits like you on the ground

K

I can't blame you for tryin'. I'm tryin' to make it too. I've got one little hang up baby. I just can't make it without you So tell me, are you gonna stay now. Will you stand by me girl all the way now. With you by my side. They can't keep us down. Together we can make it baby

The street was deserted late Friday night, we were buggin' each other while we sat at the light. We both popped the clutch when the light turned green. You should'a heard the whine from my screamin' machine. I flew past LaBrea, Schwabs, and Crescent Heights, and all the Jag could see were my six tailights. He past me at Doheny then I started to swerve. But I pulled her out and there we were at,

M

Well, I got me a fine wife, I got me old fiddle When the sun's comin' up I got cakes on the griddle. Life ain't nothin' but a funny, funny riddle

N

You're searching for good times. But just wait and see You'll come running back (I won't have to worry no more). You'll come running back (spend the rest of my life with you, baby). You'll come running back to me . Go ahead, go ahead and light up the town And baby, do everything your heart desires Remember, I'll always be around And I know, I know Like I told you so many times before You're gonna come back, baby 'Cause I know You're gonna come back knocking Yeah, knocking right on my door Yes, yes!

O

I don't need no money, Fortune or fame.

Late at night a big old house gets lonely I guess ev'ry form of refuge has its price And it breaks her heart to think her love is Only given to a man with hands as cold as ice So she tells him she must go out for the evening To comfort an old friend who's feelin' down But he knows where she's goin' as she's leavin' She is headed for the cheatin' side of town

X

They crossed the Yukon River and found the bonanza gold. Below that old white mountain just a little south-east of Nome. Sam crossed the majestic mountains to the valleys far below. He talked to his team of huskies as he mushed on through the snow. With the northern lights a-running wild in the land of the midnight sun, Yes, Sam McCord was a mighty man in the year of nineteen-one

Y

If that’s the way it must be, o.k.I guess I’ll go on home. it’s late. There’ll be tomorrow night, but wait! What do I see? is she walking back to me? Yeah, she’s walking back to me, oh, oh,

Silently for me. Ev'ry day's an endless stream Of cigarettes and magazines.
And each town looks the same to me, the movies and the factories And ev'ry stranger's face I see reminds me that I long to be,
