How Geocaching Works
The Rock River begins in Pipestone County, MN. about 13 miles northeast of Pipestone. It flows through Rock County, MN and Lyon County, IA before emptying into the Big Sioux River in Sioux County, 6 miles north of Hawarden. It is 144 miles long and part of the watershed of the Mississippi River via the Big Sioux and Missouri Rivers. It collects the Little Rock River just south of Doon.
This cache contains only a log. If you have found a similar cache before, you will remember, and this will be quite easy for you. If you have not found such a cache, this will be difficult, thus the rating. This cache is similar to a cache named Roadside, found northwest of Inwood, Iowa.
There is space to pull off to the side. Take care for local traffic. Can be busy here at times.
