Geocache Description:

August is International Geocaching month and to introduce you to what the sport of Geocaching has to offer, come to Balcones Canyonland Park and the Bull Creek swimming hole. 6 - 9 PM.

Did you know there were more than a dozen different kinds of Geocaches?  What are they and how do you find and log them?  There are six different types in the Bull Creek Park area. This event will introduce you to the sport of Geocaching and the many different kinds of hides there are.

This event is very kid-friendly because there is an excellent swimming hole just 300 feet from the parking area in Bull Creek.  You can even find a log an Earth cache that is there.  Bring bug spray, water shoes and a towel!

The Balcones Canyonland Preserve trail is closed in the spring for yellow cheeked warbler mating.(Warbler Info)    August 1st is the first day they reopen and members of the Texas Geocaching Association will be on-hand to explain the different types of caches in the area and how to find and log them.

This event is cross listed for members of the Meet-up Geocaching group for people who want to explore the different kinds of Geocaches there are and how to find and log them. 6 - 9 PM
