Go Fish 1 (Go Fish) Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Pipesy: Sorry to report guys but there has been substantial damage to the series. I have managed to salvage a couple of the caches but it is not worth replacing them. After a lot of deliberation I have decided it is time to archive Go Fish.

Hopefully though, I will put together some new plans and have something new out around this beautiful walk later in the year. I may reuse a couple of the caches that I actually did manage to salvage but pretty much bring some new designs out for all to enjoy.

Geocache Description:

Go Fish 1 (Go Fish)

Welcome to Go Fish.

This series has a mixture of cache varieties set along a 5 mile walk. It is not designed as a numbers trail but one that you should take your time to enjoy.
It is set around the perimeter of Langford Lowfields Nature Reserve, a working sand and gravel quarry which is in the process of being turned into the biggest reedbed in the East Midlands. There should be plenty of wildlife for you to spot on your journey.

You want to set your sat nav's for NG23 7QL, Cottage Lane, Collingham, from there you should be able to drive down to the car park, see parking waypoint.

Your first cache is this multi, I understand a lot of cachers aren't keen on multi caches, however I'm hoping to change that. This is not a difficult multi, there is no working out involved. You just simply have to follow the co-ordinates round and use the supplied tools as instructed.
The listed co-ordinates are for the first part of the multi, when you find it, take it to the benches and have a sit down as there you will be given the neccessary information and instructions for the series.
You will have to add co-ordinates into your GPS whilst going round the series. You will need a pen to sign the logs, a bit of paper might be a good idea to take note of any bonus info. A basic torch and some binoculars might help at some points but are not of major importance and also your trusty pair of tweezers might come in handy to remove some of the log sheets, any other tools needed will be supplied.

None of the caches should need to be forced, please handle them with care and do try to replace exactly as you found them.
I understand that accidents do occur and eventually wear and tear starts to happen, if you do accidentally damage anything or have a problem with any of the caches on the series, please let me know in your logs so I can head out to sort it A.S.A.P.

The end of this multi cache contains the North co-ordinates for the final bonus cache,
the West co-ordinates are located in 5 of the other traditional caches around the series.
You will need to take note of the letter and number at the top of the log sheets and match them up to their corresponding positions below:

N53° ??.??? (these will be found in the final stage of this cache)
W000° AB.CDE (these are in 5 of the other caches round the series)

I have tried to come up with something a little different for most of the caches, I must admit they are not all my own ideas but having done a couple elsewhere I couldn't help but steal them. Some of them may require you to use your intelligence but I'm sure you won't have a problem with that.

The title of the caches are enough of a hint in themselves, therefore I strongly advise trying all the caches yourselves before looking at the hint as for most of them the hint will completely give the game away!

I will say that in order to complete the series you must start at this location!

The terrain around the series is fairly flat though there may be a couple of situations where you may need to climb a little. I advise walking round the whole series, half of it does go along the National Cycle Route (NCR64), but the other half is along public footpaths along the Trent Bank and alongside Langford Lowfields Nature Reserve which on a sunny day should give you plenty of wildlife to view. There are a lot of nettles round the walk so anyone thinking of doing it in shorts and flip flops may want to think again!
Children and dogs are fine around the series although there are occasions when you will be close to the waters edge so you may need to keep an eye on them.
Wheelchairs, pushbikes and pushchairs can get along the cycle track and alongside the nature reserve but will not be able to get along the Trent bank. Therefore cache N°'s 2, 3, 4, 11 and 12 will be accessible but users might require a bit of assistance to actually retreive a couple.

Listed below are the caches on the series and a few other caches on route which you may want to attempt while you are at it.
