You will be traveling on the old Rock Island Railroad rail bed now known as the Ed Winkel Trail. Please bring your own pencil as there is only room in the cache for the log. Just to the west of the cache location is an old bridge which has been remodeled with benches. Sit over the creek and rest a while.
Recently the existing trail has been purchased by Osceola and Dickinson Counties. Plans are being made to develop it into a hard surface trail all the way to Superior, just east of Spirit Lake.
This cache is based on two of our favorite recent finds. Finding the cache may be only half the battle to log it if you haven't seen this kind of container before.
Please do not use any TOTT, scratch, claw or bite the container to open it. If you need a hint you can e-mail us or go to google and figure it out like we did.
be careful of the ever present muggles with sticks. This cache may or may not be winter friendly.
