***Congratulations to Knivan for FTF*** This is a two stage multi-cache. This is not a puzzle but bring your thinking cap. Final cache is a micro, so bring your writing instrument. Placed with permission from Cascade City Council.
This two stage cache should provide some unique fun for everyone. There is a nearby path to follow if you so choose. You may meet some local folks out with their dogs in this area but most of the time it will be muggle free. The cache is easy to get to and lets you take in some great views of the North Fork Maquoketa River. You will also be nearby the Cascade Historic Limestone Silo & Ag Center. This Silos and Smokestacks National Heritage Area partner site features a historic limestone silo built in the early 1930’s. The reclaimed limestone came from the stone arch bridge that was blasted down after causing the devastating flood of 1925. The North Fork Maquoketa River Access is close by and used by many paddlers who like the wilderness and secluded appeal of the 18 miles of infrastructure free river south of Cascade to the Ozark Bridge.
