Geocache Description:

This cache is located along the Appalachian Trail in the Port Clinton area. The trail in this area starts out very steep for the first ½ mile, moderately steep for the next ½ mile and then becomes fairly level. The cache is a Rubbermaid container and contains the normal cache goodies.

As we were approaching the trailhead to place this cache we met an interesting nearby resident. He told us about his great-grandfather (Brady) who originally lived in this area after migrating from Ireland. He was a civil war veteran and even marched with Sherman to Atlanta. The remains of his house are located nearby and there is a fresh spring too. It is a little off the trail but it is a nice side-trip.
