The Invention Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

yawlog: Knew exactly where I placed the cache and should have been an easy find but it was not there. Even the greatest invention, the GPS, is of little use if it was moved.

Geocache Description:

Through out my Geocaching career I have been hiding a cache every 50 finds I make. Some of those hides have been dedicated to people who have helped me out of predicaments, some for the other great cachers and a couple seeking your input.

This cache though, to celebrate my 800th find is not dedicated to a person, but an invention.

The Global Positioning System (GPS). It’s mind boggling that little unit can put you within feet of any point on earth. The GPS is just one of the thousands of inventions that have made our everyday life simpler and in my opinion of great benefit.

It would be interesting to find out what you feel is an invention that has made difference in how we live. Feel free to write it in your log.

Now as for the cache. Take that unbelievable GPS unit and input the cords above. It will guide you 4 tenths mile along the beautiful Glassboro-Williamstown bike trail. Trail is asphalt and perfect for walking, jogging or biking. There are also quite a few other hides along its length.

Container is small spice jar with log and pencil. There is no real bushwhacking involved if you leave trail at power lines but there is a steep slope.

On your way back to the car think about what could be invented to make our lives easier. Who knows? You might be the next Alexander Graham Bell.
