Geocache Description:

You're looking for a cammoed ammo can filled with swag. The cache is about a 1/2 mile round trip hike from a locked gate. Sometimes the gate is open but most of the time it's not. If it is open and you drive to the cache you might want to leave a note so you don't get locked in. Or just hike the 1/2 miles to the cache.

I have wanted to place a cache for my crazy Uncle Frank Oliver for sometime now. He is gone, no one knows where he went but he's gone. It's not that strange that he's missing because he was sort of a loner; some say he went mad looking for his fortune in these hills.

As a kid I didn't see him much but when I did he would tell me he lived up here in the mountains by himself. He would hunt around exploring the area, looking for gold he'd tell me. It all sounded fun until he would talk about "visitors" that would stay with him and help him search for the gold. When he did my mom would have enough of his rantings and pull me away. Whatever, I never saw any gold.

Anyway, one day he just stopped coming around. No one that I know ever saw him again; that was many years ago and I still wonder what happened to the poor guy. He didn’t mean anyone any harm, he just went crazy telling all those stories.

Shoot I don’t know, maybe he left with the visitors.

Here's one for you Uncle Frank Oliver.....I hope where ever you are you're okay.
