False Cape State Park Cycling adventure
***DATE: 24 MAY***MEET TIME: 8:30AM***

Are you ready to BIKE?

Posted coordinates are for parking.

This is a cycling event that will require approximately 20 mile round trip bike or hike to get to our destination. We will met up at 0830. Once everyone has arrived and is ready, we will mount our chosen two wheeled people movers and head out into Back Bay Wildlife Refuge. Estimated time of departure is between 0900 to 0930

This event is for all of us who love biking or hiking in our wonderful Virginia State parks.

Recommend that you hike or bike in groups. There is a fee to get into the Back Bay Wildlife Refuge. There is no fee for False Cape State Park.

If you have never visited, you are missing a truly beautiful park as you can see from these pictures You will pass these areas as you make your way along the trails.

Recommend bring at least one spare inner tube (just in case), fluids, and a lunch or snacks, and more fluids. Seriously, you'll need to bring more fluids than you think.

Please remember we will likely see lots of wildlife, so bring your smart phones or cameras so you can take some pictures. Also make sure you bring sunscreen, bug/tick spray, a hat with visor, sun glasses and PLENTY OF WATER. Food bars and energy bars are also great to have on these type of excursions.

OK, if you are new and haven't met Paul, the above isn't real, so no worries. Paul is one of our local cachers well known to the GCHR community. This picture was taken when Paul (2112RUSH) and I were out at False Cape this past fall.
