Geocache Description:

A lovely walk along the riverbank but not really suitable for pushchairs.

The cache is sited near the main playing field for a specialised sport so you may be lucky and catch a match while you are out. Otherwise, we recommend taking this path and onwards to the Pulfin Reserve for John Stead's cache as the perfect way to walk off lunch, or dinner on a summer's evening. (Owing to the use of parking tickets outside opening hours we cannot recommend the pub at Hull Bridge.)

If you don't see any swans on the river there are usually plenty at Pulfin - we saw 30+ on our previous visit.

For an alternative walk, why not leave the car at Tickton, catch the bus to Leven (or vice versa) and walk back to the car via Leven Canal and the banks of the Hull. There are now at least five caches en-route of this beautiful and peaceful walk.

Please note, DO NOT park in the Crown & Anchor pub car park, please park on the road (either side of Hull Bridge). Early visitors to the cache parked in the car park before opening time and received a £60 parking ticket but cannot obtain any information on their licence to issue tickets etc. Any cacher who gets a ticket from a pub car park could search the company name on the ticket on the internet (on sites like Pepipoo) where the experiences of others show that in many cases they overstep the law.
