Geocache Description:

Geocachers of West Tennessee

***THIS CACHE IS PART OF "THE WHODUNIT MULTICACHE"*** ***PLEASE MAKE NOTE OF THE "CLUE" GAME CARD FIXED TO THE INSIDE COVER OF THE CACHE***

This five-stage tour of East Memphis is intended to be a challenge, in many different ways. How to approach the stages, how to retrieve each stage while being inconspicuous, and how to find the final stage are just some of the questions you might ask yourself. Have fun! Stage one is a virtual in one of the more picturesque cemeteries in town. If you have never been to this cemetery, take some time to drive around and see what I am talking about. At the posted coordinates find the person whose favorite song appears to have been "Jesus Loves Me." How old was this person when he or she died? God bless his or her soul! Multiply the person's age by 697 and you have the last four digits of the LATITUDE coordinate for Stage Two. Multiply the person's age by 69 and you have the last three digits of the LONGITUDE coordinate for Stage Two. BE SURE TO WRITE DOWN THE COORDINATES OF STAGES ONE THROUGH FOUR; you will need these later. Stages two and three are micros with coordinates in them for the next stage. Stage four, a small regular, will have multiple copies of special instructions in it for finding the final stage AND AN ADDITIONAL "CLUE" GAME CARD. THIS CACHE HAS TWO OF THE "CLUE" GAME CARDS NEEDED TO COMPLETE "THE WHODUNIT MULTICACHE." When you take a copy of these instructions, you will need to take some time to determine the location of the final stage of this multicache. You might even need to return home to figure this one out. A standard map of Memphis, a ruler, mapping software like Mapsend or MS Streets and Trips, or simply knowing how to put together a route on your GPSr would greatly help at this point. Your determination of the location of the final stage is intended to be a bit approximate; that is part of the challenge of this cache. Yet you should be able to get within 50-100 feet of the right spot if you follow the directions in Stage Four. The final stage is a 7.62 cal ammo can with standard log and tradeables hidden well in greenscape. Please replace all stages as they were when you found them to ensure the longevity of this cache. AT NO POINT WILL YOU NEED TO APPROACH ANY OF THE STAGES FROM THE HIGHWAY. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DO SO. IT IS NOT SAFE NOR NECESSARY. ***Remember, this cache is part of "The Whodunit Multicache." Please make note of the "CLUE" game cards attached to the lids of Stages Four and Five, but DO NOT REMOVE THESE CARDS.***
