Geocache Description:

I hope you enjoy our first cache with great views over Wells harbour. Either park at the end of the causeway by the dunes or on the quayside by the fish stall. Enjoy some cockles or an ice-cream before walking on the causeway to the cache. Flat easy walking apart from the last 100 yds which is over firm sand and shingle.

Well's lifeboats are called Doris and Jane. Doris is a forty foot Mersey class lifeboat with a speed of 16 knots, and Jane is a sixteen foot inshore lifeboat with a speed of 25 knots. I have great memories of expeditions astride a lilo with paddles made of spades tied together with string. Don't try this at home!!
